A well established out sourcing business based in St Albans are looking for a new Payroll Supervisor to support an existing, well established team. The business have a Payroll Manager that will support the new starter in the team management initially but this role is potentially going to be an excellent opportunity to step in the future. The new individual should have team management experience and also be hands on in processing and producing payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly, four weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
The business are based in excellently located offices and offers access to local amenities but in the short term they are looking at home working as being the standard. They have an existing team of 6 staff and require the new supervisor to be able to cope with allocating tasks whilst dealing queries and question from internal and external stake holders.
• Processing of payroll from a large number of varied clients
• Support the review of payrolls by team with Payroll Manager
• Deal with ad-hoc queries and requests from clients
• Regularly review statutory information held in IRIS
• Year end compliance
• Compliance for new starters and P45’s and more
• Resolve queries from clients
• Submit HMRC returns for RTI information
• Input of auto enrolment data
• Advise to clients on SSP, SMP and other statutory returns
• Support Payroll Manager in seeking efficiencies in team
• Supervisor experience is essential
• Excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external customers
• Support the team in work duties and processes
