Ref: NLB1542NLB Solutions are working with a large business in St Albans that are in search of a Credit Manager. The business have a large team of Credit Controllers that look after the collections from ledgers that they take ownership of and have targets that are monitored and managed on a weekly and monthly basis. The business need someone that has managed a team and reported on cash positions and outcomes on a regular basis.
This role is based in the office all the time and needs someone that is used to a busy environments where they have constant contact with senior managers in operations and finance. This business has grown over the last 5 years through acquisitions and growth from its existing markets. With an opportunity to develop a team and make a mark on the business, this will be a great role for someone that is looking to show that they are able to grow a team.
• Provide leadership to the team of Credit Controllers and Administrator.
• Develop and roll Credit Control processes and procedures.
• Take ownership of any issues and ensure that an effective resolution is reached by liaising with key stakeholders.
• Management of all legal proceedings in line with the protocols.
• Continuously review customer accounts, ensuring cash is being collected to payment terms.
• Conduct regular reviews of credit limits by analysing customer sales turnover information.
• Authorisation of new credit applications, ensuring our policy procedures are followed and that all required documentation is completed.
• Producing daily and monthly reports for the Credit Control department and also the board.
• Assist with audits by ensuring all necessary documents are provided to auditors as and when required.
• Complete Bad Debt provision reports for the year end and when required.
• Integration and the due diligence of acquisitions.
• Training and mentoring of the Credit Control department and giving guidance and instruction.
• Actively supporting integration activities from acquisitions.
• Conduct staff appraisals, 1-2-1’s and weekly updates/team meetings.
• Attend customer meetings to discuss potential or problems accounts.
• Significant relevant management experience in Credit Control.
• Proficiency in excel reporting.
• Provision of quality advice and recommendations to directors and key stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and reporting skills.
• Excellent time management skills, working with multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ideally MCICM Qualified
