Ref: NLB1484A large business in Harpenden are looking for a Qualified Finance Manager to join the team and run the ledgers, expenses, fixed asset and other such areas of the business for shared service centre whilst taking responsibility for audit and year end work for internal and external stakeholders. The role requires someone that has managed large teams in busy environments that work to tight deadlines and are used supporting development whilst liaising with senior managers. They need someone that is either ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a number of years experience.
The offices offer a great environment for learning and development as well as opportunities to communicate with all members across the business. They have an excellent work ethic and ask for all staff to be in the office and does not offer hybrid working. The role has come about after the current incumbent has decided to retire later this year.
• Manage the Accounting functions the shared service group including Accounts Payable, Treasury, Indirect Tax Reporting, Payroll, Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting
• Manage the month end and year end close process
• Work with Corporate Treasury to ensure cashflow projections.
• Manage the bank funding
• Review AP & AR ledgers to ensure reflect correct balances
• Review and approve all payment groups on a weekly basis
• Work with Accountants to ensure VAT accurate for AP across all countries
• Approve monthly payrolls and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring accounted for correctly
• Ensure Accounting standards are complied with under IFRS
• Manage the Group and Statutory Audits liaising with local teams, working with Auditors to ensure information provided timely and all queries are resolved.
• Compile the year end Group Reporting schedules and audit reports, along with statutory reporting
• Continuous improvement of all processes
• Participate in ad hoc tasks and projects when required
• Travel when required
• Excellent systems skills including advanced Excel and ERP systems experience
• Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CPA
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to do some international travel
