Finance Manager

Job Summary:

A group of independent construction businesses are looking for a qualified Finance Manager to join a well-established team. This role is looking for someone that has experience of working in a construction environment and running a finance team and has the ambition of being a Finance Director. The role will need someone that understands all areas of finance that are required for a construction business. The offices have an parking and offer a professional environment.

The company are looking for someone that is qualified and looking to become a director and help the business break into the £100m mark with new projects and assisting the directors with business partnering. The current team of 4 are well established and need a good man manager to get the best from them.
Duties:
- Managing and supporting the team of 4 in the Finance Department
- Monitoring and managing company cashflow
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and schedule
- Ensuring compliance with the filing of monthly CIS and VAT returns
- Managing and Preparing for Annual Audit
- Overseeing the preparation of payment runs and payments
- Present financial reports in Directors Board Meetings
- Organizing Monthly Payroll and updates
- Undertaking Background Checks on New Suppliers/Customers
- Liaising with Bank Manager on company matters
- Establish and maintain financial procedures for the companies
- Handling HMRC Enquiries should they arise
Person Spec:
- Relevant qualifications
- The ambition to work to Director level
- Proven experience as an accounts manager
- Experience of managing teams of at least 3 people
- Construction experience (desirable)
- Assist with some HR matters and the preparation of contracts etc
