Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Summary:

NLB Solutions are working exclusively with a great organisation in Hemel Hempstead in the search for an Accounts Payable Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for and have experience of processing the day to day supplier invoices and prepare the bi weekly payment run, dealing with supplier queries and maintain supplier records on Sage. The company requires someone that has knowledge of end to end processing of purchase ledger and ideally have Sage experience. As an additional benefit, the role will be home based but may be required to the office from time to time.

The role will report into the Finance Manager and work within a established team who will help support and develop each other. The company need an individual that is keen to learn and take on responsibility for more as they develop.
Duties:
- - Update and maintain the PO schedule
  - Prepare and process payment runs fortnightly
  - Follow the approval process for each invoice before processing for payment
  - Process purchase invoices/credit notes in the finance system
  - Import reports into SAGE, reconcile payment
  - Generate payment
  - Pay staff expenses
  - Maintain automated remittance process
  - Reconcile the payment run and send to management for approval
  - Set up the payment run and obtain approvals for payment release
Person Spec:
- - Excellent communication skills
  - 2 years experience of working in a finance department
  - Good IT day to day operating skills
