NLB Solutions are working with an expanding business based in Borehamwood that are looking for a new Assistant Management Accountant to join a team to help cope with the expansion that has happened over the last 2 years. With a stable and busy team, this role will cover all aspects of management accounts, fixed assets and all-round support for the Finance Manager. The business need someone that has experience of producing management accounts and all aspect of accounting.
The business are looking to support the new person with study support and a management team that are seen across the operations as supportive and mentoring to new starters and existing staff. This role will be seen as the next step in developing a succession plan.
• Management Accounts production including full balance sheet disclosure and KPIs.
• Assist with continuous review and improvement of financial controls.
• Assist with Budgeting and forecasts.
• Year end audit folders including drafting of statutory accounts and liaison with Auditors.
• Payroll processing, reconciliation and liaison with external Bureau.
• Maintenance of fixed asset register.
• Responsible for compliance with all current VAT legislation from a day-to-day paperwork perspective and submitting the VAT return in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Due diligence and financial modelling ref acquisitions and disposals
• Ad-hoc analysis as and when the business dictates
• Sage 50 knowledge is desirable
• Excellent double entry knowledge
• Must have a minimum of two years management accounts experience
