Interim Accountant

Job Summary:

NLB Solutions are working with a business in Park Street in the search for an interim accountant for the next 4 to 6 months. With the economy coming out of lockdown, the company are now sourcing for an Accountant to support the Head of Finance in producing full sets of management accounts and support the financial accounting returns on a monthly basis. The business are hoping that this opportunity will become permanent but it will all be dependent on the position the company find themselves in.

The company are a well-established UK subsidiary that have maintained business through lockdown but have faced some challenges. They are expecting a big bounce back and are now gearing up for this situation. With a supportive head of finance, this role will be managed in terms of workload and given a chance to develop.

Duties:
- Balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
- Profit and loss analysis and reporting on variances
- Management accounts preparation monthly and quarterly
- Sales reporting and profitability analysis
- Post and create journals
- PAYE and VAT returns
- Supporting ledger functions and cover in absences
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Supporting head of finance in audit and group reporting
- Coordinate month end close
- Statutory reporting
Person Spec:
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent systems skills including Excel
- Ideally ACCA or CIMA studier or qualified
- 3 years plus experience in similar role
