A new and exciting opportunity to join an expanding business in Harpenden as an Italian Accountant. The business need someone that is fluent in Italian and has experience of working as an Accountant. The role will be very expansive and comprehensive role that will deal with everything from month end, management accounting, financial accounting with and excellent understanding of local Italian tax and statutory knowledge and work closely with the Financial Controller.
The company have an excellent reputation in the industry and offer excellent working environment. The role will require the individual to work in Harpenden with occasional travel to the Italian offices. The company do wish for someone that is looking to take on additional responsibilities as the role develops.
• Centralise the Accounting function to Harpenden
• Complete the month end function for the companies
• Year end close for the companies
• Accurate and timely reporting
• Liaise with local teams for VAT, EC sales, Intrastat and corporation tax
• Prepare local statutory accounts
• Deal with local audits
• Prepare all monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review by FC
• Management reports and budget preparation
• Process improvement
• Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA or QBE
• Excellent Excel skills
• Excellent ERP experience
• Understanding of Italian tax rules
