Payroll Manager

Job Summary:

NLB Solutions are working exclusively with our client in the search for a new Payroll Manager. This is a sole charge Payroll Manager role that will support the company in delivering a monthly payroll, pensions and some reconciliations working for the wider company. The role will report into the FD and requires an experienced Payroll Specialist that is capable of running the department independently. With the current individual being promoted to a more senior role, there will be a chance for an extensive handover.

The business are based in St Albans and offer a supportive, professional and modern set of offices and are looking for someone that is looking for a role where they can feel valued and respected. The business are looking for someone that has experience of working as a stand-alone payroll individual.
Duties:
- Gather information across the business for payroll production
- Entering all data on to internal payroll system
- Produce and distribute payslips
- Monthly payroll presentation and authorisation meeting
- Prepare monthly payroll journals
- Monthly PAYE calculations, submission and payments
- Calculate commissions
- Resolve queries
- Reconcile deductions (pensions and others)
- Analysis of pensions for management accounts
- Auto enrolment for new starter and leavers
- Ad-hoc bookkeeping duties
Person Spec:
- Excellent payroll experience
- Good excel skills
- Some accounts experience would be desirable
