NLB Solutions are working with a large business in Hemel Hempstead that are looking for an Accounts Assistant/Client Support Accountant to work in an established small team of 5 reporting to the Client Support Manager. The business ideal would like the successful candidate to be studying towards an accounting qualification AAT level 4 or starting CIMA/ACCA.
The company offer hybrid working post the probation period and a large open plan office which means that the teams are always able to liaise with each other openly. They do offer a real chance for this role to develop to a more senior position in time.
• Work closely with other Finance teams to ensure an efficient and effective client service
• Preparing year end reconciliations
• Checking and posting year end journals
• Assisting with budget enquiries and chasing any missing details
• Client reporting – timely, accurate preparation, coordination and issue
• Administrative assistance following agreed process
• Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience within finance
• Knowledge of accrual and prepayments
• Must have a good understanding of double entry bookkeeping
• Ideally AAT level 4 or studying towards an accountancy qualification
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent IT skills including excel
