Payroll Administrator

Job Summary:

NLB solutions are working with a large business in Harpenden to search for a Payroll Administrator to join a well-established team. The new payroll administrator will be involved in processing high volumes of timesheets and providing daily support for the weekly payroll from statutory returns to starts and finishers and much more. Duties:
- Inputting starter information on to payroll system with a high level of accuracy
- Processing leavers
- Issuing tax forms e.g. P45’s, P60’s
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK checks
- Processing numerous payrolls weekly for employees, processing the wages journal, dealing with payroll queries
- Reconciling wages accounts
- Carry out payroll calculations such as Maternity, Paternity, Sickness and Pension
- Be responsible for all statutory requirements including RTI
- Sending information and liaising with HMRC
- Preparing and uploading Auto Enrolment reports (Excel) to Work Place Pension Provider
- Checking timesheets and amend when needed
- Create and analysing reports on timesheet statistics using Excel
- Liaise with the finance department to resolve any issues
- Assist in the running of the weekly payroll operation
- Answering payroll queries promptly and effectively via telephone and email
- Administrative duties such as scanning, photocopying and filing.
Person Spec:
- Some payroll experience would be ideal but not essential
- Good work ethic
- Office experience
- Good Excel knowledge
