Management Accountant

NLB Solutions are working exclusively with a large financial services business in Watford in recruit for a Management Accountant to join the team within the business. The company are looking for someone that is able to produce management accounts and support a small finance team in the production of management accounts and support the audit process for the parent company. As a stand-alone business in its own right, this role reports in the business units MD. The role offers some flexibility in the location but the majority of the time will be spent in the Watford offices.

The company is looking to help this individual develop into a qualified accountant so are looking for a part qualified accountant as a new member of this team. With great development opportunities, this business have qualified accountants that are working across the group that will help support the new person with technical knowledge for the financial services returns.
Duties
- Production of timely and accurate Management Accounts
- Produce quarterly forecasts and annual budgets (including cashflow forecasting)
- Posting of monthly journals including accruals and prepayments
- Perform financial analysis and appraisal Meet Group reporting requirements
- Completion of monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
- Management of the year-end process and assist in dealing with audit queries
- Develop controls over the costs of the business to ensure that relevant approvals are obtained before spend is committed
- Assist the Chief Executive in the development and formulation of business strategy
Personal Specification
- Part qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Experience of producing full sets of accounts
- Hands on Accountants from SME background
- Excellent systems skills including Excel
- Excellent communications skills written and inter-personal
