Ref: NLB1527Accountancy Practice based in St Albans are looking for a new Payroll Administrator to support an existing, well-established team. The new individual should have payroll experience within an Accountancy firm. You will be supported by the Payroll Manager, the role be hands on in processing and producing payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly, four weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
The business is based in excellently located offices and offers access to local amenities but in the short term they are looking at home working as being the standard. They have an existing team of 6 staff and supported by a Supervisor and Manager
• Processing fortnightly, monthly & quarterly client payroll for various sized clients
• Investigating unusual requests from clients on output figures.
• Monthly letters to payroll clients detailing Inland Revenue payments required.
• End of year compliance including P60s etc.
• Compliance such as P45s and starter checklists etc.
• Liaising with clients and dealing with ad hoc queries via telephone and email.
• Submit electronic data to HMRC each month in line with RTI procedures.
• Auto enrolment input processing.
• SMP & SSP – knowledge of statutory payments & salary sacrifice.
• Previously worked in an Accountancy Practice is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills.
