An exciting opportunity to join a well-established business as the Hotel Financial Controller. Due to the level of the role, the business is looking for someone ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified or QBE, with experience managing remote teams at a senior level. The successful individual will come with an excellent level of technical and commercial understanding in order to help drive the business forward. The business is looking for a like-minded and motivated individual to take on their role.
With an exceptional senior leadership team in place to support the growth of the business, the new member of the team will be asked to help develop, motivate and drive the current team to that next level. The opportunity to drive process improvements across the wider teams is there, with backing from the Group FD.
• Monthly management accounts produced and issued in line with strict reporting timetable.
• All balance sheet account reconciliations produced and reviewed on a monthly basis.
• Compliance with all internal control procedures for hotels.
• Opportunities for transformational change in financial reporting across hotels and wider finance team identified and/or implemented.
• Ensure that all reports issued in relation to the hotels are timely and accurate.
• Monthly management accounts need to be issued in line with the strict month end timetable.
• Responsible for balance sheet control, including 100% compliance of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Monitor and maintain compliance of internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits, implementing new control recommendations and ensuring compliance with existing policies.
• Strong technical accountant with an ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Good communicator.
• Team player.
• Experience in hospitality industry will be an advantage.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
