Management Accountant

Job Summary:

NLB Solutions are working with a large business to recruit for a part qualified ACCA or CIMA studier to join the team in a newly created role as the Management Accountant. This role will sit with the FP&A team and support the Finance Manager in production of management accounts, analysis and project reporting. The company are looking for a studier that will help them plan for an expanding business in years to come and with 3 qualified accountants in the business already, there is plenty of support and training.

The management structure offers a supportive head of finance and finance manager to help with the development of the successful individual. Within the company there will me many opportunities to help drive the role and team forward.
Duties:
- Perform month end close procedures.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Help with year-end audit process.
- Property group accounting and reporting.
- Review and analyse revenue and cost trends.
- Act as a business partner to other functions in the business who rely on financial data.
- Prepare monthly overheads review for presentation to Directors.
- Assist with the annual forecast and quarterly re-forecast process.
- Track revenue pipeline.
- Review overheads forecast and target cost savings where possible.
- Prepare VAT and CIS returns.
- Assist with financial analysis.
- Help roll out of new finance system.
Person Spec:
- Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/equivalent).
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience working with Sage preferred, but not essential.
- Construction experience preferred, but not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commercially minded.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise projects.
