Management Accountant

Job Summary:

A large recruitment business in Hemel are recruiting for a qualified Management Accountant to join them and support the Financial Controller in analysing information to help senior management make decisions to drive they business forward. The role will need someone to produce all reports relating to profitability and costs across the business and revenue streams.

With newly refurbished offices, parking and some working from home options, this is a great opportunity for this individual to add value to this role but also to help develop the teams around them. The Financial Controller is also available as a resource to help develop the Management Accountants skills sets.
Duties:
- Preparing/assisting various financial statements, including labour margin, profit and loss and budgets
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain records and support auditing efforts
- Detailed analysis of both financial and non- financial data to contribute towards company’s short to long-term business planning and objectives
- Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers
- Provide the necessary support / cover for Financial controller and other team members as and when required
- Implement and follow corporate governance procedures and internal controls
- Any other tasks required by the Financial Controller/Finance Director
- Any other tasks which can reasonable be performed as requested by the company
Person Spec:
- Strong /Advanced excel skills (ie Vlookup/ Pivot table/ Sum if)
- Qualified ACCA or CIMA
- Knowledge of accounting terms and concepts
- Understanding of finance regulations and legislation
- Knowledge of business strategy and methodology
