Corporate Tax Senior

Job Summary:

NLB Solutions have the privilege of working with a well-established 5+ partner accountancy practice, based in St Albans. The firm is located in close proximity to the city train station as well as being accessible by car.

Following sustained growth, the firm is in need of a Tax Senior keen on mentoring/supervising junior staff and support them through their development and full qualification. Holding an esteemed reputation for delivering excellent service to all clients, this firm is foreseeing continued growth and is keen on bringing on board someone with a passion for client success.

The Tax Senior will be responsible for looking after a large portfolio, supporting businesses from a wide range of industries with their tax matters and needs. Reporting into the Tax Director, the successful candidate will be expected to support junior members of the team whilst looking after their own portfolio, supporting clients over the phone, face-to face and video.

The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA with aims of completing or having already completed either ATT or CTA.
Duties:
- Managing your own portfolio of clients
- Supervising Junior members of the team
- Staying up-to-date with legislation changes and corporate tax matters to be best placed to support clients
- Corporation and personal tax computations
- Tax relief advice/support
- Group tax planning
- Tax clearance procedures
Person Spec:
- With experience working in practice on a wide range of corporate tax issues essential.
- With the ability to explain complex tax matters in a non-technical manner
- With good verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Alphatax
- ACCA or ACA Qualified
- Studying or Qualified CTA or ATT
