Financial Controller

Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity to join a large multi site business in St Albans that are looking for a qualified and experienced Financial Controller on a maternity cover for well over a year. The company are looking for a start in August and feel that someone that is ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified and that has experience of supporting month end and year end processes and offering reporting to senior management on cash flow and management on a regular basis.

The individual is scheduled to go on maternity leave in October so the client is looking for a start in August at the latest in order to afford the successful candidate an appropriate hand over. With 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, the company are looking to offer a flexible approach for the new working norm.
Duties:
- Manage cash forecasting and reporting
- Summarise cash position to the SMT in regular daily meeting
- Manage VAT reporting process
- Manage monthly and quarterly reporting and covenant testing
- Ensure quarterly interest payments are calculated correctly
- Ensure all payments are made on a timely basis
- Ensure quality of financial transactions and financial reporting
Person Spec:
- Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA
- Treasury experience
- Month end experience
- Experience of VAT group submissions
- Analytical experience
