Assistant Accountant

Job Summary:

NLB Solutions are working with a medium sized Practice that are looking to recruit for a Assistant Accountant in their head office based in North London.

This Practice are looking for an individual who has qualified their AAT and is looking for a business to kick-start their career in Accounting. The ideal candidate will have some experience working within a practice; however this is not essential as the Director is happy to train the right person.

The salary is dependent on experience.
Duties:
- The completion of year-end accounts
- Co-ordination and management of VAT
- Administration duties including scanning and filing important documents
- Review of bookkeeping records and the completion of VAT Returns
- Meet statutory deadlines for VAT, Payroll, Statutory Accounts, and Company Tax Returns
- Liaising with HMRC for new and existing clients
- Managing new clientele
- Advise clients in relation to IR35 and the associated implications of this legislation
- Respond to client enquiries in line with the company promise
- Assisting clients with the completion of Companies House Confirmation Statements
- Online submission of documents to Companies House and HMRC
Person Spec:
- AAT Qualified
- Experience working in a Practice environment (Preferred)
- An individual looking for a fresh challenge in an expanding Practice
- Personable and a team player
