Senior Payroll

Job Specification

NLB Solutions are working with a local Accountancy Practice that are recruiting for a senior payroller or payroll manager that is able to deal with multiple payrolls that range from single employees to up to and beyond 100 staff across weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly or monthly payrolls. The business have a great set of offices and after probation, offer hybrid working and have access to local amenities.

The business are under going new system changes, so they would like some that has worked on system changes if possible and ideally someone that can offer support the the junior members of the team.
Duties
Duties:
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls with accuracy and efficiency
- Responding and resolving payroll related queries for clients and colleague queries in a professional and timely manner
- Manage all payroll entries including new starters, leavers, salary amendments, and changes to employee data
- Ensure compliance with all payroll laws and regulations
- Keep abreast of changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates
- Resolution of day to day queries
- Payroll client onboarding for new payroll clients
Personal Specification
Skills Required:
- Previous payroll experience in Practice or Umbrella
- An understanding of statutory payroll requirements i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP, PAYE & NI
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong IT skills
- Knowledge of Paycircle and Iris payroll software would be preferred
