Purchase Ledger Clerk

Job Specification

NLB Solutions are working with a large business in Henel Hempstead in search of an immediately available purchase ledger clerk to join a large team on a fixed term contract for the next 6 months. There is realistic chance of this role going permanent as the business are consistently growing. The team need someone that can deal with all aspects of purchase ledger, from invoice processing to query resolution to reconciliations, meaning that this is a busy department and team.

The company work a hybrid working pattern with core hours that people must work from. With both Team Leaders and Purchase Ledger Manager, there will be ample support for the new starter. Parking in this location is at a premium but this business offer free parking to support the employees.
Duties
- Process invoices on a timely basis
- Matching invoices to purchase orders
- Query resolution
- Responsible for own supplier accounts
- Liaising with suppliers and resolve queries
- Statement reconciliations
- Payment runs BACS and CHAPS for UK, UAS and Europe
- Ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
Personal Specification
- Previous purchase ledger experience within a high transaction volume environment
- Cope with large quantities of invoices
- An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills
- Good excel skills
- Problem solving skills and experience of query resolution
- Excellent attention to detail
- Written and oral communication skills
